All Saints was commenced in the midth century and is entered through a carved Norman doorway typical of the period. The carved wooden reredos behind the altar was put in place under the patronage of the Reverend Edmund Ibbotson in the last years of the 19th century.

The small 13th All Saints Church, reached by a footbridge over a stream, is mainly Norman, though the chancel may have been a Saxon chapel. New Romney was once a thriving port, with the harbour adjacent to St Nicholas' Church, in front of which a mooring ring can still be seen.
