Cougar Annie's Garden is Margaret Horsfield's fourth book. Her previous books include Bitting The Dust (Fourth Estate, ) and, co-written with Peter Horsfield, Beyond Golgotha (Brechin Books, ) and Beyond Bethlehem (CBC Enterprises, ) For many years Margaret did extensive feature reporting for BBC Radio in England/5(5).

Cougar Annie's Garden is a remote, historical homestead located in Hesquiat Harbour on the west coast of Vancouver Island.

The garden is owned and overseen by Boat Basin Foundation, a registered Canadian charity. Cougar Annie’s larger-than-life story (including how she met most of her husbands and why she moved to Boat Basin in the first place) has been told in a musical play and in the prize-winning book, Cougar Annie’s Garden by Margaret Horsfield.
